Jacquard acid dyes 5 g
Jacquard acid dyes are clear, very durable dyes for dyeing wool, silk and nylon. Start with a small amount of color powder and experiment until you have the shade you want.
The yarn must be soaked before the dyeing process can start. Acid colors indicate that acid must be added for the color to stick. This means either 1 tablespoon of ordinary white vinegar per 100 g of fiber, or 1 teaspoon of citric acid per 100 g of fiber. When in the process this is done, has an impact on the final result. The temperature must be raised and lowered gradually. Remember to wear gloves and a protective mask when handling color powder. Always wash yarn dyed with acid dyes in cold water.
5 g of color powder is enough for 1-1.5 kg of yarn, depending on the mixing ratio. A solution of 0.5% dye by total yarn weight usually works well for semi-solid dyeing (dry yarn weight). Alternatively, you can use 1 ml of color powder per 100 g yarn. Instructions for hand dyeing yarn in English are included when you buy acid dyes.
When purchasing 4 colors or more, the price is reduced to NOK 69 per color (applies to both Jacquard and Dharma colours).
