The Chunky Hat is knitted in the round on a circular needle in stockinette stitch/garter stitch. The folded edge is formed by knitting the cast-on edge firmly into the hat before turning it and continuing to knit it in stockinette stitch and gradually fells. Alternatively, the edge can be sewn on at the end. Switch to double pointed needles as you cast.


Sizes: 1 (2), head size 52 - 54 (54 - 56) cm

Needles: Small circular needle and double pointed needles 9 mm (US 13)

Knitting tension: 10.5 sts/10 cm (4") on needles 9 mm/US 13
